Car Free Day in Paris….

On Sunday, we took a trip into Paris because lots of the streets were closed to cars (buses and taxis still had some access) but generally the streets were full of people on bikes, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, segways, weird powered wheels that were like segways with no handles and of course on foot.  There was a carnival feeling in the air helped enormously by the glorious sunny weather.  The highlight was walking up the Champs Elysee cobbles with thousands of others (and the drummers were good too!!)

  1. Hello Euan,
I am learning french from my French Club 1 book. The book includes stickers, activities, a CD, songs and colouring. It helps me to speak and pick it up. Here it is beginning to get extremely cold.

We are still having lovely mild weather but it is chilly in the morning now and so dark.

Can you tell me a word you know in french?

I know that a “trottinette” is a scooter. Also that “écris les mots” is write the words. The days of the week are “lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi and dimanche”. Bed is”lit”. ” Cartable, trousse, gomme , feutres ” is rucksack, pencil case, rubber and pens.
